"That's Inspiring."

I would like to be inspired right now. It's funny how motivation comes and goes. Maybe I'll see beautiful picture someone drew, or hear a lovely new song, or read a well-written book. Those things inspire me to find whatever I want to do with my life, grab hold of it, and fulfill it. Or maybe I come home from giving a speech full of new ideas and am really eager to implement those new ideas into what I imagine as a completely new, fascinating speech. But how long does that inspiration last?

I'd like to be able to say more than overnight. But what happens the next morning? Gretta mopes down the stairs. Gretta eats breakfast. Gretta wastes time. Gretta goes to bed. It sounds sort of funny actually... but every once in a while (like now) I'd like to push a button or take a pill that would keep me inspired for a long long time.

The other day a friend asked me what I wanted to major in. Without really thinking I said, "Oh! I thought of something the other day.. but I forgot it." I do not want that to happen again. Haha. I mean, yeah, I am only a sophomore (or a junior if thats how to look at it), but I feel myself getting impatient. A lot of freinds are moving on to college this fall (including my sister). I'm really excited for them. It's a big step. But at the same time, it got me thinking about what's going to happen after high school. What's going to happen after college. Will I be inspired?

This post seems self-centered. I guess the biggest thing that need to happen is for me to be ready to be inspired. Then God will put that into my life. The focus can't be on myself.

In a nut shell, when I'm old and wrinkly I hope I can look back and see an outcome of motivation. Whatever that may be. (How mysterious.)

In other news, I hope you're having a great day. :)

Until the next urge to ramble,
Gretta

It's funny how things change.

You know, like how xanga used to not be sad and cry itself to sleep every night, because so many people adored it. But then the evil realm of facebook of course took over. (It even took me about a day to remember how to add a new weblog entry on here. Wowzers.)

Only things change that are more important than xanga. Or less important. Or the same level of importance. Music tastes, hobbies, thoughts, dreams, people. Lots of things. But do you think that is a good thing or a bad thing?

I guess it really depends... but change is weird. It's weird when something your so accustomed to randomly changes. You don't know what you had until its gone. Or, hopefully, you didn't know what you were missing out on, until its there. You know, the happy side of it. :)

There is my profound thought of the day. You know, like "good deed" of the day, only "profound thought" instead. Wouldn't that be funny. "Hey, Sheela, have you gotten your profound thought of the day in? No? Well, you'd better hurry up, the time is tickin' away."

::Yawn:: I enjoy rambling.

You know what I enjoy? Driving on the way home from speech critiques with my sister. With the windows rolled down. And a little bit of rain misting in. And of course, all different kinds of music.

There's the stuff we used to eat, drink, and breathe every second of every day. Shiiiiine 89.7. (Or, the NEW Shine 89.7. Whichever one you prefer and/or remember) It's fun, because they play the same stuff still. So we find those words we never word have remembered if it weren't for switching to that station at that moment.

Y (then) por espanol! 93.5, dearies. That is what you call good driving music. Normally upbeat. Like the song that goes "AAA-RAAA-SAAANDO!" (I'm sure you all know that song.) I'm pretty sure Arrasando means orange.

Then there's oldies... 94.7. Those are good for people like me, who can't dance. Because basically, you can just wave your arms around.

Next radio station is my beloved Star 96.7. It plays everything and anything... sometimes it is 80's. Like the song that goes "Don't. You. Want. Me. Baaa-by?" But it also plays Michelle Branch. Who I love to listen to. Especially when I am cleaning, for reasons unknown.

Hmm... next 101.9. Yay. Probably my first or second favorite. Because it plays things like Snow patrol, or the fray, and lovely music like that.

Aha, and we musn't forget about hip hop/rap. 96.3 and 103.5 I guess. I like to pretend I'm gangsta in a really incredibly dorky way. It's amusing.

I highly doubt any of you will even read this, but it was fun to just blabber and ramble and talk. And actually, pretty relaxing again, for reasons unknown. (That seems to be a common phrase used in this long tangled list of words.)

I'm out, folks.

(hey, no 'p.s.''s or random colors and fonts for this post... be proud, it was hard. It took a lot of dilligence. Although this in itself is sort of a p.s. Oh well. Not formally so.)
